Gladiator

Searching through Netflix, my sister and I finally agreed upon watching Gladiator, the film starring Russell Crowe.  I had never seen this film and it was her favorite film so it worked out.  While watching, there was one line that really stood out to me that Maximus said to his soldiers.  I wanted to share this quote with you and hope you are moved by it, too.  

This quote reminded me of continuing to follow my dreams and that it is making a difference.  I shared it with my sisters who are artists of their own beautiful craft.  Moreover, I thought of the Hmong people and of our history.  Of how my parents chose to leave a war torn country to create a better future.  Because of their choices, I get to choose my dreams.
