My Day at The Makeup Show LA - California Market Center

Aside from doing makeup and meeting new people, I LOVE going to this makeup show. When I attended my first show years ago, it was all about shopping, finding new makeup and getting the best show deals. Through the years, I started realizing that it's the education I receive from amazing working artists that make it all worthwhile. I used to squeeze the seminars in between my shopping. Now, I try to find a time when I can quickly grab needed items and go right back to learn some more.

I am so inspired by these artists who are so down to earth. The stories I hear from them, are similar to my stories and experiences even though they have 10, 20 years on me in makeup artistry. It is through them that I can see how my career will progress in the future. I hope I am able to give back one day as much as they have done so far for me and my career.

I especially loved hearing Ellis Faas speak and give so much advice to artists all around. She is a legendary makeup artist who takes breathtaking pictures of her own work. Her foundation is to die for. I'll tell you all about it in my next blog.
